LoneStar greetings to all!

Welcome to the home page for the 7th annual LoneStar Country Dance competition. We have some special treats for you this year, so we hope you will make plans to attend.

Our event will be held at the Omni Southpark, August 13-15, 2010. We have updated the hotel information and posted our tentative event and workshop schedules.

We are so pleased to announce that Sam and Denise Miller will be attending our event this year!! Sam & Denise have won World Champion titles in both Master's Classic and Master's Showcase divisions for several years. They will be teaching some special workshops during the weekend and dancing for us in the dinner show!

Our 2010 registration forms have been posted. Please note that we have a separate registration form for our swing, hustle and salsa competitors and a separate form for spectators (non-competitors). Also note we have moved Couples Strictly Swing, Hustle and Salsa to Friday night along with the WSDC J & J. Please let us know if you have any questions about which registration form is the right one for you!

Mona Puente is again heading up the Line Dancing at the LoneStar event and has organized both work shops and social Line Dancing. There will be a floor totally dedicated to Line Dancing all week long.

Our Event Info page has also been updated. Check out our 2010 LoneStar Staff. These are the people to thank for taking their time to help make our event so special. We’d like to offer a special thanks to Mike Topel and the Austin City Dance Club for hosting the swing, hustle, salsa part of our event. Grab your dancing shoes and come out for some spectacular swing fun!

Swing divisions can sometimes be confusing, so we included a brief explanation of the different swing divisions on the registration page under Swing, Hustle & Salsa Registration.
